  1. Health & Safety Responsibilities

We aim to:

  • Comply with all applicable Work Health & Safety (WHS) and Environmental legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and internal procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a structured WHSE Management System that identifies, assesses, and controls workplace risks using the hierarchy of controls.
  • Ensure all roles and responsibilities related to WHSE are clearly defined and understood.
  • Provide appropriate information, training, supervision, and instruction to all staff and contractors.
  • Establish clear procedures for emergency management, incident reporting, and risk escalation.
  • Encourage the immediate reporting of hazards, near misses, and incidents.
  • Monitor and review WHSE systems regularly for continuous improvement.
  • Integrate WHSE risk management into operational and strategic decisions.
  1. Environmental Responsibility

We are committed to:

  • Identifying environmental risks, preventing pollution, and managing impacts of our operations.
  • Using energy, water, chemicals, and consumables responsibly and efficiently.
  • Disposing of waste according to the waste hierarchy, using licenced contractors where required.
  • Promoting sustainable practices across all business activities and reducing our environmental footprint.
  • Ensuring all staff are aware of their environmental responsibilities through induction and training.
  1. Management Duties

Our leadership team is responsible for:

  • Providing adequate resources, support, and direction to manage WHSE effectively.
  • Setting measurable objectives and targets for safety and environmental performance.
  • Ensuring all policies, safe work procedures, and systems are implemented and understood.
  • Reviewing WHSE performance using incident data, audits, and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Making WHSE information accessible and communicating updates clearly and consistently.
  • Establishing open channels to receive and respond to WHSE concerns from external and internal parties.
  1. Worker & Contractor Responsibilities

All staff and contractors must:

  • Follow WHSE policies, procedures, and safe work systems at all times.
  • Participate in training, consultation, and safety initiatives.
  • Promptly report any hazards, injuries, near misses, or environmental concerns.
  • Conduct themselves in a way that protects their own health and safety and that of others.
  • Help uphold the safety culture of Sovereign Parking through proactive engagement.
  1. Continuous Improvement

Sovereign Parking believes that a strong WHSE culture is built on accountability, communication, and continuous learning. We strive to:

  • Foster a safety-first attitude across all levels of the organisation.
  • Encourage consultation and employee participation in safety and environmental planning.
  • Use audits, inspections, and reviews to adapt and enhance our WHSE systems.

This Policy is fully supported by our Directors and Management Team. All Sovereign Parking employees and contractors must adhere to this policy and uphold their role in creating a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace.
